The hills around Torre a Cona have always been planted with olive groves. Our 5,000 trees grow in a typically Tuscan setting, lined with terraces and dry-stone walls. Moraiolo, Frantoio and Leccino are the three varieties that thrive on the estate. The microclimate ensures a fruity and refined extra-virgin olive oil of excellent quality. All the olives are gathered by hand and are transported to the mill in small boxes pierced with holes to enable a constant flow of air. The olives are laid out in 10-15 cm layers for a few hours before being cold pressed. Our extra-virgin olive oil can be tasted and purchased in our Wine Shop, alongside other locally made specialities.
